OLYMPIA – March 20, 2025 –The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission is opening up more camping opportunities for visitors by expanding its same-day reservation option to all parks with reservable campgrounds. 

Seaquest is a 475-acre, year-round camping park set among lush pines in the shadow of the storied Mount. St. Helen's volcano. Seaquest Park boasts forested campgrounds, great hiking trails and stunning mountain panoramas. Next door to the campground is Silver Lake. The park is connected to the popular Mount St. Helen's Interpretive Center, another worthwhile destination, and Silver Lake by a pedestrian tunnel which leads you to a boardwalk trail over the wetland where ducks and other wildlife thrive.
To the delight of outdoor enthusiasts, this park has it all. Lakes, scenic views, trails for biking, hiking and horseback riding, historic structures, forested campgrounds and a nature preserve are all at your fingertips.
The onsite Ranger will walk the new campground loop, providing information about the new campground and the plant life in the area.

Lake Wenatchee owes its existence to giant glaciers that widened and deepened the headwaters of the Wenatchee River. Gravel and rock carried in the glacier was deposited at the glacier’s end, forming a moraine, a natural dam to impound the lake. Lake Wenatchee State Park is situated on that moraine.
