The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission is committed to telling the full story of events that are significant to each park. This equestrian-friendly park located between Kirkland and Redmond is considered one of the top equestrian parks west of the Mississippi. The park features four horse arenas, ample horse trails to explore, and hosts horse shows, organized rides and other equestrian events.

Olympia — The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission will complete a wildfire fuel reduction project at Westport Light State Park this month. The project responds to community concerns and reduces wildfire risk in Westport.

The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission has officially launched a redesigned and improved parks.wa.gov website

The new, refreshed website has a modern, inclusive and accessible design. The refresh comes after many years of feedback from parks visitors that they struggled to find information on the website, especially when using a mobile device. Nearly 400 current and potential Washington Parks visitors provided feedback on the design of the new parks.wa.gov website.
