Bridle Trails State Park

This equestrian-friendly park located between Kirkland and Redmond is considered one of the top equestrian parks west of the Mississippi. The park features four horse arenas, ample horse trails to explore, and hosts horse shows, organized rides and other equestrian events.

Trail etiquette

Horses always have right-of-way on trails. Please stop and let them pass. Please avoid making any loud or sudden movements that might spook the horse and endanger you, the rider and others.

Leashed dogs are welcome in state parks. With the number of horses that visit Bridle Trails, unleashed dogs are at increased risk of harm. Please protect you dog, yourself and equestrians by keeping your dog on leash.

Bicycles and motorized vehicles are not permitted on trails.

Bridle Trails offers 28 miles of maintained trails that are open to equestrians, hikers, walkers and runners. There are also three well-signed, easy-to-follow hiking trails that range from 1 to 3.5 miles:

  • Raven Trail (1 mile)
  • Trillium Trail (1.7 miles)
  • Coyote Trail (3.5 miles)

Equestrian facilities

There are four equestrian arenas with frequent horse shows and events. The park also features pull-through parking for horse trailers.

Picnic and day use facilities

This park has a small picnic area with access to barbecues, tables, water and restrooms.

Please note: These areas can be very busy during show weekends.
