Fort Ebey State Park is a coastal camping park on Whidbey Island. Featuring a historic military fort, the park has beach activities and miles of hiking trails.
Seaweed harvesting is allowed on the beach between April 16 and May 15. Be sure to get a seaweed and shellfish license, click here for shellfishing regulations.
U.S. Navy jets from nearby Naval Air Station Whidbey Island may fly over the campground at any time for several hours. Navy personnel conduct training missions at various times during the day and night. Depending on the direction of the wind, their flight pattern may put them above the park, creating noisy conditions for campers. Although State Parks cannot be responsible for the jet noise, we do share visitor concerns with representatives of Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. Click here to view scheduled training flights.

This park is great for history buffs and adventurists alike. The park's concrete gun emplacements and underground rooms are great for exploration. Don't forget your headlamp or flashlight.
Miles of mixed-use walking and bike trails wind along the bluff and into shady forests. On the bluff you'll find multiple picnic sites with panoramic views of the Puget Sound, Port Townsend and the Olympic mountains.
At low tide, visitors can walk on the driftwood-strewn beach. Don't miss the breathtaking sunsets!
These include paragliding, surfing, smallmouth bass fishing in Lake Pondilla and eagle watching. There are two large fields that accommodate sports activities. The beach is open to seaweed harvesting from April 16 through May 15 with a shellfish/seaweed license.
