For staff training, the Tumwater Headquarters lobby and Information Center will be closed on Friday, Dec. 1. We will not be taking appointments during this time. Our Information Center will not be answering phone calls, but you can leave a voicemail. Or, email infocent@parks.wa.gov.
Fires allowed in all designated fire pits and grills. Propane and gas grills allowed.
In the fall, we continue to offer first come first served sites until a deep freeze is imminent; this usually occurs late-October. At that time water will be turned off in the campgrounds. All exterior water has been turned off. The Bathhouse is open year-round. Utility sites without water and walk-in camping will continue to be available until the snow flies or customer demand drops off; this usually occurs around mid-November. Please self-pay with cash or check and deposit in the pay station next to the bulletin board at the entrance to the campground.
During the winter season, we offer winter snow camping in a designated area of our South Park Day Use Parking Lot. RV utility hookups are not available. This area has firepits, picnic tables, a heated restroom, showers, potable water, and 2 covered shelters with wood stoves nearby. Please continue to check the Alerts or call the Park (509) 763-3101.
