  • Tin foil
  • Knife
  • Spoon

Ingredients

  • Large navel orange
  • Mug cake mix
  • Water
  • Chia seeds (optional)

Directions

  • Take one side of your halved orange and add in your mug cake mix.
  • Follow the mug came packet directions and add water, stir.
  • Optional: Add in a sprinkle of chia seeds for added texture, protein and fiber.
  • Take the remaining empty orange half and place it like a lid over the cake-filled half.
  • Carefully wrap the reassembled orange in tin foil.
  • Place your orange in your pot and add a little bit of water to create steam. Cover it with a lid.
  • Turn your heat on high and let the orange steam in the pot for about five minutes.
  • Use tongs to carefully remove the orange.
  • Check the cake consistency and cook longer if needed. The cake should be soft and spongey when it's ready.
