Don't get us wrong, we love a classic s'more. Nothing beats a melty marshmallow smothered in chocolate and topped with a crispy graham cracker...until now. Take your s'more to the next level by packing those ingredients into a banana and toasting it your campfire. trust us, it will be the thing you talk about long after your camping trip is over.
You'll need:
Tin foil
Spoon
Long tongs
Ingredients:
Ripe banana
Chocolate bar
Marshmallows
Graham cracker (optional)
Directions:
Ignite your fire source, this includes building your campfire in a designated fire ring, starting your coals or setting your propane grill to medium-low heat.
Cut a slit down the long side on your banana
Take a spoon dig it about half way into the banana through the slit and create a channel for your other ingredients. Save any bits of banana you remove.
Break your chocolate bar into small pieces and place insode the channel you've created. We all love chocolate, but save enough room for your marshmallow!
Tear your marshmallow into fourths and squish the pieces into the channel where you can.
Take your dug out banana bits and press them over the top of the filled channel.
Wrap your stuffed banana tightly in tin foil.
Place the banana on your campfire or BBQ grate, or down in the coals. Let it toast one one side for 2-3 minutes and then flip with your tongs.
Carefully remove your banana from the heat with your tongs and let cool until it is safe to unwrap the tinfoil.
Gently put pressure on the stem and butt ends of the banana to open the slit and expose the melty innards.
Ways to enjoy:
Crumble graham cracker over the melty goodness and enjoy it by the spoonful.
Spoon out the innards onto a graham cracker and make it into a sandwich like you would a traditional s'more
