The Information Center plays a crucial role in ensuring visitors have a seamless and enjoyable experience, whether they are planning a short visit, a longer trip or purchasing passes for extended use. Their commitment to excellent service reflects Washington State Parks' dedication to accessibility and public engagement. What we do, we do for you.
Customer support
We answer questions about Washington State parks, properties and recreational opportunities. Providing accurate information on park features, amenities, rules and seasonal activities. The Information Center staff are statewide experts on a variety of topics including website guidance, park rules and program details. Offering guidance on various discount pass programs including eligibility, application processes, benefits and replacements. Operating 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday-Friday The Information Center addresses inquires via phone, email and in-person visits.
Reservation system guidance
Assist in navigating the reservation website, by providing step by step guidance for booking reservations at campgrounds, cabins and other park facilities. We can provide park recommendations, route guidance, and activity suggestions. We can advise you on the best times to visit specific parks based on your preferences.
Purchasing passes and permits
All Parks passes and permits can be purchased through the team. Including the Discover Pass for day-use parking, Natural Investment Permit for day-use parking and boat launches, as well as the Boat Moorage Permit for nightly moorage.
Washington State Parks offers Discount Passes to those who qualify. Please contact us for any questions regarding these passes.
Purchase physical gift cards in person at Washington State Parks Headquarters in Tumwater or by calling the Information Center at (360) 902-8844. Gift cards purchased over the phone at Headquarters will be mailed. Shipping costs may apply. E-Gift cards and other parks merchandise may be purchased at our online store.
