OLYMPIA – As a proud member of the Washington Clean Coast Alliance, the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission will co-host the annual Washington Coast Cleanup on Saturday, April 20.

This year’s event will take place at ten state parks: Cape Disappointment, Fort Flagler, Fort Townsend, Fort Worden, Grayland Beach, Mystery Bay, Ocean City, Pacific Beach, Shine Tidelands and Twin Harbors. 

Stroll the grounds or climb to the top of North Head Lighthouse for views of the Pacific Ocean, Long Beach Peninsula, Columbia River Bar and the northern Oregon Coast.
For a walk on the beach, clamming or camping, Ocean City State Park is the place to go. Smell the salty air, watch the sandpipers, build a sandcastle and fly kites on the soft sand. Relax around a campfire in the forested campground to end a fun-filled beach day.

OLYMPIA – April 5, 2022 – As a member of the Washington Clean Coast Alliance, the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission will participate in this year's Washington Coast Cleanup.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 23.

The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission will hold its regular hybrid commission meeting on Thurs., July 13, 2023, at the Ocean Shores Convention Center. The public is welcome to attend in-person or online.

Agenda items include:

Pacific Beach yurts are within walking distance of the beach.
Dune grasses, knobby shore pines, and a sandy shore create the classic Washington beach scene. This 10-acre day use park is a relaxing stop for playing in the sand, birdwatching, fishing, clamming, and watching the sunset.
Sitting along the shores of the Pacific Ocean, Westport Light State Park is the perfect place to stroll the boardwalk and explore the beach.

This year’s event will take place at six state parks: Cape Disappointment, Fort Worden, Grayland Beach, Ocean City, Pacific Beach and Twin Harbors.  

Join Park staff at the secluded Griffiths-Priday State Park in Copalis Beach and walk through the coastal forest of shore pine and Sitka spruce along Connor Creek eventually winding down the bluff onto the ocean beach.
In partnership with Washington CoastSavers, Parks puts on three beach cleanup volunteer events a year and our first one, the Washington Coast Cleanup will be on April 20.
The 40-mile, 526-acre Spokane River Centennial State Park Trail winds through eastern Washington from Nine Mile Recreation Area on Lake Spokane to the Idaho border.
The Spokane River Run is a series of trail runs through Riverside State Park.

State Parks is seeking input on a proposal to amend an easement and update the land classifications of a portion of the property associated with the Spokane River Centennial Trail adjacent to the Plante’s Ferry Sports Complex in Spokane County.
