Disability Pass

Offered to Washington state residents who are legally blind, profoundly deaf, or who meet the disability definition used by the Social Security Administration and are currently receiving benefits.

Washington state residents who are legally blind, profoundly deaf, or who meet the disability definition used by the Social Security Administration and currently receiving benefits can apply for this pass.

Residents of Washington who've been issued a permanent disabled parking ID card, or special license plate, under state law, get the same benefits as the Disability Pass. Temporary parking placards don’t qualify for this discount.

Pass benefits

When visiting Washington state parks, you'll enjoy free parking (no Discover Pass needed), watercraft launch and trailer dump use. Plus, a 50% discount on nightly camping or moorage fees. Also provides access to ADA accessible campsites.

This pass is not accepted at Sno-Parks, National recreation sites or on lands managed by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife or Department of Natural Resources.

*Applying for a minor

If you are applying for a minor child and they don’t have a Washington state ID card yet, please provide their parent or guardian’s proof of residency and a copy of the minor child’s birth certificate or guardianship document.

Discount Pass Program rules

When using a discount pass, it is important that you follow all park rules. However, the following rules are important for pass holders to understand:

Camping rules

You must cancel reservations if you are unable to use them.

Do not make duplicate or multiple reservations for the same night. Including double sites.

The official pass holder must be the registered site Occupant and present at the site to receive a discount.

All camping discounts and associated benefits are limited to the site the pass holder is camping in. Discounts and fee reductions are limited to 1 campsite or moorage site per night.

Campsites and moorage are for recreational use only. Stay limits apply, see park rules.   

Pass holder expectations

Do not alter or make copies of your pass. Never share your pass or pass number with others.

The pass is only valid for the person it’s been issued to. The pass must be valid and physically with you during your visit. Be prepared to provide photo ID.

Pass holders are expected to treat park staff with respect, always follow park rules and staff guidance.

Pass replacements are $15. Learn more about replacing a pass.

Repeated violations of park and program rules may result in pass benefit suspension or revocation. You must surrender a pass upon request.

Discounts do not apply to

Extra vehicle and overnight unattended vehicle fees and the dockside utility hook-up fee.

Roofed shelters (including cabins and yurts), vacation homes, group camps and day-use shelters.

This pass is not honored outside of Washington State Parks and at Sno-Parks, National recreation sites or on lands managed by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife or Department of Natural Resources.
