Wildfire season is here. A Level 3 Burn Ban is in effect statewide. No charcoal or wood fires. Gas and propane stoves and gas and propane fire pits are ok where allowed. Join Washington State Parks and Xerces Society in planting a wide variety of plants to facilitate pollinator habitat development.
Volunteers will be broken up into teams and spread out into zones covering 9 different sites across Brooks Memorial State Park planting 160 flowering grasses, shrubs and forbs around the park's day-use area and campground. There will be tools provided but it is helpful to bring your own if you have them, and some gloves.
