Sequim Bay Entrance Reconfiguration

Sequim Bay State Park will be fully closed from June 15 until fall 2026 for reconfiguration of its entrance and traffic flow into the park. For public safety please do not enter the park, except to pass through from Blyn or Sequim by foot, bike or horse on the long-distance Olympic Discovery Trail (ODT).

Taking advantage of the park closure to minimize public impact, park staff will also make improvements to park bathrooms during this time.

This project will help alleviate traffic backups at the park entrance, which currently spill onto Hwy 101 and creates safety hazards and motorist frustration. The project will also improve the flow of traffic within the park, including to the welcome center and parking lot.

Traffic on US 101 will not be affected by the closure or construction.

There is no vehicle parking available at the park. The closest restrooms are at the rest area in Blyn, across from the casino, a few miles east and in downtown Sequim, 5 miles west.

The Ramblewood Retreat Center will remain open and have parking for guests with reservations only. Ramblewood has its own entrance east of the main park.

Mooring buoys are also accessible, but boaters tied up to the buoys will not have access to a bathroom on shore. The boat launch will be closed throughout the construction. The moorage dock has been closed since 2021. The ballfield on the west side of 101 will not have any parking or restroom access.
