The Department of Natural Resources has issued a statewide burn ban restricting the use of outdoor burning, campfires, the use of charcoal briquettes, and prescribed burns on all forest lands within DNR’s fire protection, including all Washington State Parks, through Sept. 30, 2024. State Park proposals are available on the Code Reviser’s website. This rule making has undergone SEPA review for environmental impacts and the agency has issued a SEPA determination.
Staff will propose changes to WAC 352-78-020 definitions, and 352-78-090 How do boater education program requirements affect rental operators and liveries? The proposed changes will clarify definitions that address peer-to-peer boater rental.
This proposal will establish a new rule under chapter 352-60 WAC for mechanically propelled personal hydrofoils (MPPH) and mechanically propelled surfboards (MPS); establish a new rule for engine cut-off switch; and revision to WAC 352-69-020 definitions and 352-60—080 fire extinguisher.
This proposal will address limiting the extended off-season length of stay in a state park and clarifying the definition of residence that aligns with camping stay limit. The maximum stay limit in a state park is 10 nights in one park within a thirty-day period. The total nights stay is not to exceed 90 days per calendar year in all state parks.
Staff propose clarifying annual moorage permits that are used at saltwater moorage and freshwater lake parks.
This expedited proposal removes a phone number that was listed for Parks’ communications office that is no longer active and updates the uniform resource locator for Parks’ external-facing website. These changes fall under the general housekeeping category that solely updates Parks’ contact information for requesters of public records.
