Park Host Resources
Not only is camp hosting one of the coolest ways to get to know your state parks, but our camp hosts serve a vital role in the Washington State Parks system. Learn more about what you will need to know when beginning your park host adventure!
Before you begin your camp host adventure, please review all onboarding information so you are prepared for what’s ahead and know where to go for additional support.
Park host opportunities
If you are looking for your first or your next camp hosting opportunity, you can check for available host locations online using the Park Host Opportunity List. Once you find a location that suits you, please contact the Host Coordinator to speak with them about their open positions.
This is a good opportunity to ask questions about the park, host duties, days off and host site information to see if this will be a good fit for you and the park.
Volunteer policies
When you volunteer with us, you represent Washington State and are expected to abide by all our policies and procedures. Below, you will find the relevant State Park policies for our volunteers. Please review these policies, sign and return the two acknowledgement forms to the Volunteer Program email, or turn them into your host coordinator at your next host assignment.
