Join the Riverside State Park Foundation for a series of informative talks at the Bowl & Pitcher amphitheater at Riverside State Park.

Join us each Wednesday night in June for fun, free, and family friendly presentations hosted by the Riverside State Park Foundation.

June 5 - The Owls of Riverside State Park - Learn about owls and other feathered friends that inhabit the Park, presented by Bea and Jim Harrison from the Spokane Audubon Society. (Bowl & Pitcher Amphitheatre)

June 12 - Moose, Cougars, and Bears - Oh My! - A show-and-tell about these four-legged creatures with Annemarie Prince, wildlife biologist with Washington State Fish and Wildlife. (Bowl & Pitcher Amphitheatre)

June 19 - Native Plants and Wildflowers around Riverside State Park - Get to know your local plant friends! Presentation by Wendal Kane of the Washington State Native Plant Society (Bowl & Pitcher Amphitheatre)

June 26 - Camp Cooking Demonstration - Join us for a camp side meal with our returning cooks, Kurt and Shirley. Demonstrating how to make Shepard’s Pie and Fruit Crisp delights! (Bowl & Pitcher Covered Picnic Shelter)

Volunteer Event - Riverside State Park - Trail Maintenance

Thursday, May 29th: 9AM-2PM - Riverside State Park - Deep Creek Interpretive Trail - Trail Brushing & Tread Maintenance

Join us to improve the Deep Creek Interpretive Trail near Nine Mile Falls, WA. We will meet at Carlson Trailhead and hike down the Centennial Trail to where the Deep Ck. Interpretive Trail crosses the Centennial (about 1/2 mile from Carlson TH). From here, we will leapfrog one another and hike the entire interpretive loop (about 1.5 mi.) with handsaws, loppers, and brushcutters to remove encroaching vegetation from the trail. The trail is steep in sections with loose rock.

Volunteer Event - Riverside State Park - Trail Maintenance

Saturday, May 31st: 9AM-2PM - Riverside State Park - Deep Creek Interpretive Trail - Trail Brushing & Tread Maintenance

Join us to improve the Deep Creek Interpretive Trail near Nine Mile Falls, WA. We will meet at Carlson Trailhead and hike down the Centennial Trail to where the Deep Ck. Interpretive Trail crosses the Centennial (about 1/2 mile from Carlson TH). From here, we will leapfrog one another and hike the entire interpretive loop (about 1.5 mi.) with tread tools to smooth uneven tread and install drainage. We will also carry loppers and handsaws to brush any encroaching vegetation. The trail is steep in sections with loose rock.
