Each event in the Wednesday in the Woods series has a different topic. Join us for all of them!

June 4 - The Hoot Show: Live Owl and Raptors
Presented by the West Valley Outdoor Learning Center. Held at the Bowl and Pitcher Amphitheater, in the Lower Campground Loop. Free ice cream night!
June 11 - Butterflies of Northeastern Washington
Presented by John Baumann, a long time butterfly enthusiast, author, and member of the Washington State Butterfly Association. Held at the Bowl and Pitcher Amphitheater, in the Lower Campground Loop.
June 18 - Moose, Cougars, and Bears - Oh My!
A show-and-tell about these four-legged creatures with Matt Brinkman, wildlife biologist with Washington State Fish and Wildlife. Held at the Bowl and Pitcher Amphitheater, in the Lower Campground Loop.

Presented by Holly Weiler, Senior Eastern Washington regional coordinator for the Washington Trails Association. Held at the Bowl and Pitcher Kitchen Shelter. Free ice cream night!

Thursday, May 29th: 9AM-2PM - Riverside State Park - Deep Creek Interpretive Trail - Trail Brushing & Tread MaintenanceJoin us to improve the Deep Creek Interpretive Trail near Nine Mile Falls, WA. We will meet at Carlson Trailhead and hike down the Centennial Trail to where the Deep Ck. Interpretive Trail crosses the Centennial (about 1/2 mile from Carlson TH). From here, we will leapfrog one another and hike the entire interpretive loop (about 1.5 mi.) with handsaws, loppers, and brushcutters to remove encroaching vegetation from the trail. The trail is steep in sections with loose rock.

We will meet at Carlson Trailhead and hike down the Centennial Trail to where the Deep Ck. Interpretive Trail crosses the Centennial (about 1/2 mile from Carlson TH).
