You can submit your state park event via email to get it placed on the calendar. The Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to Washington state parks and state-managed recreation lands.     There are now Nature Backpacks available for check-out at Bay View State Park! Each backpack includes educational materials and a set of kid-friendly tools to help young explorers learn about nature. Inside, you’ll find binoculars, observation tools, colored pencils, a field journal, books, activities and more.

    Visit us at the Bay View Registration Station to request a Nature Backpack. You can borrow a backpack for either 48 hours or one week.

    Orca Sing is an annual summer solstice event, dedicated to the recovery of our endangered southern resident community of orca whales. Come enjoy the music and watch for whales as the sun sets. Back this year is Seattle's City Cantabile Choir along with First Nations naturalists/speakers Odin Lonning and Orca Annie (Keet Shuka). Tours of the historic lighthouse will be offered before and after the performances. Shuttle transportation is available through San Juan Transit and carpooling is encouraged as parking is limited.
