State Parks Commission to hold special meeting to review Westport golf course proposal on Oct. 19

LACEY – The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission will hold a special meeting on Oct. 19 in the Aberdeen High School Auditorium. 

This is a hybrid meeting, and the public is welcome to attend in-person or online.  

During the meeting, the Commission will review the proposal from Westport Golf, Inc. for the potential development of a Scottish links-style golf course at Westport Light State Park near Westport. The Commission will also receive public comments on this topic. 

No final action will be taken.  

Public comment 

In-person oral public comment will be accepted at the special meeting. If you wish to comment, please fill out a comment card and provide it to staff at the sign in table. The Chair will call you up to the front at the appropriate time. There is no pre-registration for in-person public comment. 

Written comment 

Written public comments will be accepted for all agenda items until 5 p.m. on October 15 by email or mail. Any comments received after the cutoff will be given to the commission before its next meeting. Please submit comments through the online comment form.  

Virtual public comment will also be accepted.  To provide virtual comment you will need to be able to join the Attendee Web link from your computer (no phone option available). Pre-registration is required.  To register, email commission@parks.wa.gov by 5 p.m. on Oct. 15.  Please provide the name you will be logging in under, your contact phone number as well as the agenda item or general topic you will be speaking on.  You will receive an email by Oct. 16 with specific instructions for virtual testimony.
