Don’t Trash our Treasures is a service program where Girl Scouts, ages 8 and older, will pick up micro-trash around Cascade Lake and learn about its environmental impacts. The public is welcome to participate.

Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and close-toed shoes. Bring water, extra layers, sunscreen, and a hat. Reusable water bottles are strongly encouraged.

Don’t Trash our Treasures is a service program where Girl Scouts, ages 8 and older, will pick up micro-trash and learn about its environmental impacts. Micro-trash is litter we can easily miss, because it’s so small. We may walk by a foil wrapper or pieces of glitter without noticing their presence. But these small items of litter have an outsized impact on our environment. They can pollute waterways, harm wildlife, and mar the natural beauty of our parks. Join us and learn how small actions, like picking up litter, can make a big difference.
