Join a Park Ranger and learn about the fascinating science of tree ring dating or dendrochronology. A nature scavenger hunt will take you up close and personal to some long-lived trees that are hundreds of years old.
From looking at past climates to dating ancient cliff dwellings, dendrochronology gives us glimpses into the past. Studying tree rings, we will learn how dendrochronology deepens our understanding of science and culture.
