Potholes State Park is a destination for recreation and vacationers, but what about the critters that live here year-round? Join interpretive staff to learn more about the plants, animals, geology, and more that you can enjoy at the park. Programs are drop-in friendly and will often be interactive with specimens from our collection and/or crafting activities appropriate for all ages.

If you are not camping in the park, a Discover Pass is required for all vehicles. Day Pass: $10, Annual Pass: $45

Turn off Highway 262 into the main entrance of Potholes State Park and follow the road into the park past the playground and the large grassy area. Take a right into the large parking lot that leads to the boat dock and the Day Use Area will be to your right. Programs are led from the covered picnic tables by the restrooms in the Day Use Area or in the adjacent lawn area.
