They’re ancient. They’re tough. And they’re everywhere. Discover the surprising story of lichen at this 1-mile Ranger walk at Battle Ground Lake.

Join Ryan Reynolds, Park Ranger, Beacon Rock State Park, on a 1.5 to 2-hour hike.

Meet at the first covered picnic shelter near day-use parking lot. Some picnic tables are available, but we do recommend BYOC (bring your own chair).

If the scheduled presenter is unable to attend, the program may be substituted with an alternative program.
