A short "I Spy" walk designed to explore different themes in nature.

Program will last approximately 1 hour.

Join Interpretive Specialist, Sarah Overby, for a guided “I Spy” interpretive hike along the Umatilla Rock Loop Trail at Sun Lakes-Dry Falls State Park.

This easy, approximately 1-mile walk invites participants to slow down, look closely, and “spy” different clues in the landscape while exploring a variety of nature themes—from geology and plants to wildlife and seasonal changes of Spring.

Designed to be interactive and engaging for all ages, the hike encourages curiosity, observation, and a deeper connection to the unique environment of the park.

Just south of the Dry Falls Visitors Center along State Route 17 turn east at MP 92.5 into Sun Lakes State Park, follow the BIG brown signs.

Continue 1.2 miles before turning left onto the state park road toward Deep Lake.

In another 0.9 miles take another left onto an unpaved road toward Perch and Dry Falls Lakes.

Continue 0.4 miles before parking at the kiosk for the Umatilla Rock Trail.
