Meet at Lake Wenatchee North Park Entrance and tag along with our park staff as they snowshoe 1.3 miles along the Wenatchee River, the shores of Lake Wenatchee, and surrounding forest. Participants can enjoy a well-packed route through parts of our park that are not always accessible in summer. Expect some historical talking points, nature interpretation, and views of Nason Ridge, Dirty Face, and North Beach.

Step into a true winter wonderland and explore Lake Wenatchee State Park like you’ve never seen it before. Meet our park ranger team at the North Park Entrance and set out on a guided 1.3‑mile snowshoe trek along the sparkling Wenatchee River, the quiet winter shores of Lake Wenatchee, and through the snow‑draped forest.

Your ranger guide will share stories of the park’s history, point out winter wildlife signs, and help you discover hidden corners of the park that summer visitors rarely get to experience. Along the way, enjoy sweeping views of Nason Ridge, Dirty Face, and North Beach, perfect for photos or simply soaking in the stillness of winter.

What to Know Before You Go

  • Bring a valid Sno‑Park Pass for parking (available in‑park or online at https://epermits.parks.wa.gov/).

  • Dress for winter conditions and pack your favorite trail snacks and water.

  • The guided route is mostly flat with gentle dips, and snow conditions may vary from nicely packed to slightly icy.

  • Want to keep exploring after the tour? You’ll have the option to extend your adventure on your own.

Snowshoes Needed? We’ve got you covered! A limited number of FREE snowshoe rentals are available at the North Park Entrance. Call ahead to reserve your pair and arrive at least 15 minutes early if you’re picking up equipment.

This event is free (with a valid Sno-Park Permit for vehicle), family‑friendly, and perfect for anyone curious about winter ecology, local history, or simply experiencing the magic of the park in its quietest season.

Bundle up, bring your sense of adventure, and let our rangers guide you through a snowy landscape full of stories waiting to be discovered.
