Join Interpretive Ranger Sarah Overby for a relaxed Walk on the Park Lake trail at Sun Lakes-Dry Falls State Park.
Take a refreshing stroll with Interpretive Ranger Sarah Overby along the Park Lake Trail, an easy walk of less than three miles. This route follows an old county road, offering gentle terrain and wide-open views—just keep in mind that YakTrax or similar traction devices are recommended if the surface is icy or slick.
Along the way, you’ll explore the ecosystem and geology of the area and discover the unique features that line the shores of Park Lake, a beautiful spring-fed lake tucked into the coulee landscape.
Come curious, dress for winter conditions, and enjoy a relaxed outing in one of our most scenic pockets of the park.
