Join Interpretive Ranger Sarah Overby for a casual, curiosity-filled walk along the Frenchman Hill Loop Trail at Potholes State Park.

This easy hike is less than 3 miles and offers a great chance to learn about the unique ecosystem and geology that shape our area.

As we wander through the trees, keep your ears open—you might just hear (or spot) a certain feathered resident known for its hoots.

Be sure to come prepared for a cool-weather day hike: bring a warm drink, layered clothing, and some snacks to keep you comfortable along the way.

We’d love to see you out on the trail!
