Riverside - Volunteer Event - Forest Health - Thinning

There are currently no future events scheduled.
Come join us near Bowl & Pitcher to thin a stand of overcrowded trees along Trail 211 (handsaws/loppers). Removing some trees will allow mature trees to grow larger, helps more light reach the forest floor to support understory vegetation, and reduces the fuel load in the event of a fire.

What to bring:

-Discover Pass (we can supply one for the event)

-Gloves & Eye Protection (we have some to share)

-Warm layers, rain gear

-Minors only: Note from guardian granting permission to attend the event

Directions

Where to meet:

47.696526, -117.495768

4427 N Aubrey L White Pkwy, Spokane, WA 99205

We will meet at the lower parking lot within Bowl & Pitcher. When you enter, pass the campground and information kiosk and turn right at the bottom of the hill to enter the parking area. We will meet here and then hike into the site (about 1/2 mile), over the swinging bridge onto Tr. 211.
