First Day Hike - Klickitat State Park Trail

There are currently no future events scheduled.
Washington State Parks will lead the hike along with our Klickitat Trail Conservancy partners. 3 mile hike, 1.5 in and 1.5 back on crushed gravel trail that is moderately flat and less than 1 percent grade.

Join Washington State Parks and the Klickitat Trail Conservancy for this fun, 3 mile, in and out hike to start off the new year.

Information: Trail is ADA accessible. Pets are allowed on leash only. Hike is appropriate for beginners. Please dress appropriately for cold weather. Good hiking shoes or boots and hiking poles may help those in need. Possible ice in winter months. Ice cleats are suggested.

When: Jan. 1 at 10:00 a.m.

Where: Lyle Trailhead; Klickitat Trail

Cost: Free; NO Discover Pass is necessary

From Bingen/White Salmon, WA: travel east on Washington State Highway approximately 9.5 miles. Take the first left after crossing Klickitat River and another left into the trailhead parking area. 

From the Dalles, OR: Travel north on US Highway 197 to Washington State Highway 14. Turn left onto Highway 14 and travel approximately 7.5 miles to Lyle. Travel through town and take a right on State Highway 142.  Take the first left into the trailhead parking area.
