Girls Scouts Love State Parks

Washington State Parks will participate in the annual Girl Scouts Love State Parks program on Sept. 12-14, 2025. Girl Scouts Love State Parks is a partnership between Girl Scouts USA and the National Association of State Parks Directors. State parks in all 50 states participate.

Washington State Parks will participate in the annual Girl Scouts Love State Parks program on Sept. 12-14, 2025. Girl Scouts Love State Parks is a partnership between Girl Scouts USA and the National Association of State Parks Directors. State parks in all 50 states participate.

Several state parks will offer activities during Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend. Interpretive rangers will host scavenger hunts, arts and crafts for kids of all ages and the opportunity for kids to get their Girl Scouts Love State Parks Passport stamped. Passports are available to Scouts and to the general public.

All events are exclusively open to Girl Scouts. A Discover Pass is required for parking at a state park.

Friday, Sept. 12 - Astronomy Program with Ranger Paul

Saturday, Sept. 13, 10-11:30 a.m. - Beach clean-up

Saturday, Sept. 13, 1-3 p.m. - Guided hike with Ranger Zach, scavenger hunt worksheets will be given to Girl Scouts after the hike, then they can turn them in Sunday morning for a prize!

Saturday, Sept. 13, 9 p.m. - Astronomy Program with Ranger Paul

Sunday, Aug. 14, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. - Native bat talk and installing a bat box

 

Riverside State Park (Bowl and Pitcher area) & Crawford State Park

Join in for self-led activities to earn patches and badges. Pick up a guide at the welcome booth at Riverside and from Parks staff at Crawford.

 

Mount Spokane State Park

Saturday, Sept. 13, 1-5 p.m.

1 p.m. - Volunteer program, contact: Rianna Bidon, 509-890-3241

3 p.m. - Campground check-in

4 p.m. - Interpretive program at campground with Interpretive Specialist Cory Carpenter

5 p.m. - Guided hike

Sunday, Sept. 14, 9 a.m. - Interpretive program at Selkirk Lodge
