Open to visitors of all ages, come walk, hike and stroll the trails of the newly remodeled Kopachuck State Park on Saturday, October 25 from 8 -11a.m.

Enjoy a fun filled pumpkin hunt!  Pumpkins will be numbered and hidden in the park for families to find as they explore.  Check off the number of pumpkins you find at the Welcome Center for a treat and take your pumpkin home to paint, carve and decorate, in celebration of fall.

We ask that families limit their loot to 1 pumpkin per family, and children have a parent present at all times.

Find spooky animal facts along the Interpretive Trail.  Other activities may be available in the kid’s play area or indoors if it rains.

Vehicles coming to the park will need to display a Discover Pass.  Passes are available for purchase at the park.

Kopachuck First Day Hike

This hike will be an interpretive showcase of some of the park’s more overlooked features. The 1.1 mile loop starts at the park’s new amphitheater and is composed of a combination of the Middle Loop Trail, the Upper Loop Trail and Interpretive Loop Trail. The theme of the hike will be Kopachuck’s Trees. Topics discussed will be Kopachuck’s tree history and how visitors of the park can affect the trees both negatively and positively. The hike will have a brief ascent in the beginning but most of the hike will be steady and downhill.
