Outdoor Discovery Day
Kick off your summer activities at the annual Outdoor Discovery Day at Fort Casey State Park. It is on Saturday, June 7, a Discover Pass free day. Enjoy fun, kid friendly activities. Find out what’s happening this summer on Whidbey Island. Discover the different ways you can enjoy and connect to the outdoors.
Explore new ways to connect to the outdoors!
Touch whale bones and find out what lives in the bull kelp. Kids get an Outdoor Discovery passport booklet and after completing it pick up an Adventure Kit.
Follow the Discovery Loop Trail we’ve created to explore local summer activities. Walk the Community Path to figure out what Bagley is spelling and then spin the prize wheel. Head down the Adventure Path to meet Whidbey Island organizations and their outdoor adventure guides.
Learn how you can steward the outdoors for generations to come!
The event is co-hosted by our park partners Friends of Whidbey State Park and Sound Water Stewards.
This event is free.
