Daf is a Middle Eastern frame drum musical instrument in use for thousands of years, both for popular and classical music in South and Central Asia as well as the Middle East and beyond. Students in this workshop will learn about the rich Daf musical tradition, enjoy performances of several Turkish-language songs, and have a chance to try playing the Daf themselves.
