Mt. Spokane Nordic Cup JNQ/NRL Race

Event location: Spokane Nordic Ski Association
There are two registration sites depending on which part of the event you wish to register for. There is a US Ski and Snowboard National Ranking List event for USSS members and a community event open to any racer age 17 and under.
The Mt. Spokane Nordic Cup Junior National Qualifier and National Ranking List are Nordic ski races.
The Mt. Spokane Nordic Cup involves two separate races: the U.S. Ski & Snowboard sanctioned Nordic Ski races for USSS members and community race events open to any racer 17 years old and younger. Saturday is a cross country skate sprint race, and Sunday is a classic distance race.

Mount Spokane First Day Hike- Snowshoe to the Summit
Participants will snowshoe past the Bald Knob Picnic Shelter to the historic stone Vista House located at 5,883 feet – the highest point of Mount Spokane. If weather permits, participants will have views of the Cabinet Mountains in Montana, Selkirk Crest in North Idaho, and nearby lakes. Roundtrip, this hike will be approximately 3.5 miles. Snacks will be provided at the trailhead. Participants can also purchase hot drinks and snacks at the Vista House.Snacks will be provided at the trailhead. Maximum group size is 30. Please register through Eventbrite under the event name “First Day Hike – Snowshoe to the Summit”. Daily Sno-Park Permit ($25) or Seasonal Sno-Park Permit ($50) is required and can be purchased at the Mount Spokane State Park office/kiosk or online at https://parks.state.wa.us/130/Winter-recreation.

Mount Spokane First Day Hike- Smith Gap Snowshoe Hike
Participants will snowshoe west along the Lower Kit Carson Loop Road to Smith Gap and the snowshoe hut which was completed in 2014. Along the way, participants will traverse through a beautiful old growth cedar-hemlock forest and pass several stream crossings. Snacks will be provided at the trailhead. Roundtrip, this hike is 2.6 miles.Snacks will be provided at the trailhead. Maximum group size is 30.
