The Chumlilies are a four-piece string band sprouting from the Wenatchee Valley featuring acoustic guitar, banjo, fiddle and bass. Their first rehearsals transpired in a small yurt on the Chumstick Highway in 2019 and now they play throughout Washington.
2024 Mountain Melodies Concert Series
Singing, dancing and alpine air! This concert series at Lake Wenatchee State Park features performances by great musicians and dancers amid the majestic mountain lake views.
Time: All concerts are 8-9 p.m.
Location: South Park Amphitheater (Directions) at Lake Wenatchee State Park
The Chumlilies are a four-piece string band sprouting from the Wenatchee Valley featuring acoustic guitar, banjo, fiddle and bass. Their first rehearsals transpired in a small yurt on the Chumstick Highway in 2019 and now they play throughout Washington. All members are vocalists, composers and multi-instrumentalists who write original tunes. Their passion for music and collaboration has fused them into a fun, loving family band. They recorded their first full-length album 'Runaway Wild' in 2020 and released their second full-length album 'Roots in real thick Mud' in 2023. Their music has been described as Americana, Country-Roll and Folkgrass. Their original tunes swirl with enchanting three-part harmonies, vivid lyricism and strikingly gorgeous composition. Lake Wenatchee First Day Hike
This hike will be led by a Park Ranger, who will guide participants along the Wenatchee River, up to our North Beach for views across Lake Wenatchee, and then through our Pine and Douglas Fir forest, finally ending back at the North Reservation Booth for hot cocoa and light snacks! Along the way, our hike leaders will point out various historical aspects of our park, highlight notable stories and discuss some fun facts! One particular stop at our North Beach is a favorite, where participants tend to take a snack break, and we gather together for a fun group photo opportunity.

Guided Snowshoe Hike
Meet at Lake Wenatchee North Park Entrance and tag along with our park staff as they snowshoe 1.3 miles along the Wenatchee River, the shores of Lake Wenatchee, and surrounding forest. Participants can enjoy a well-packed route through parts of our park that are not always accessible in summer. Expect some historical talking points, nature interpretation, and views of Nason Ridge, Dirty Face, and North Beach
