Lake Sammamish Management Plan Update

Project summary

State Parks is reviewing and updating Lake Sammamish State Park’s Management Plan, which was originally completed in 2004.

The purpose of the management plan update is to establish objectives that address conservation and recreation, such as kokanee habitat restoration and re-establishment, interpretation, education, and compatible recreational development.

Many of the projects being planned and implemented at the park are consistent with the current Lake Sammamish Management Plan; the update will confirm plan goals and objectives and identify future actions that will support conservation and recreation into the future.

Other Lake Sammamish Projects

In addition to the management plan update, there are other projects proposed at Lake Sammamish, as shown on the map:

  • Boat Launch Replacement Grant Proposal
  • Boat Launch Repair Project
  • Issaquah Creek Loop Trail Project
  • Marie Louie Paddle Relocation Project
  • Issaquah Creek Restoration Project – Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust
  • Laughing Jacobs Creek Restoration Project – Trout Unlimited
  • Lake Sammamish Trail Recommendation Plan
  • Non-Motorized Improvement Project – City of Issaquah
