Park Aide

Park aides are routinely in contact with public, staff park entrance booths, provide information to the public, keep facilities clean and orderly, drive light vehicles and perform area beautification using an array of tools.

Grounds maintenance park aides perform routine maintenance, keep facilities clean and orderly, use various tools, drive light vehicles and provide information to the public.

Customer service aides perform administrative duties, registration, assist with revenue reconciliation, provide information to the public, drive light vehicles and keep facilities clean.

Minimum qualifications

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.

Senior Park Aide

Senior park aides lead and provide training to all seasonal park aides.

Maintain all facilities, assist construction and maintenance staff with projects, perform maintenance and upkeep of vehicles and equipment and keep all facilities clean and orderly.

Provide information, including educating the public regarding park rules and regulations, registration, local events, interpretation and historic information.

Reconcile park funds collected, employee timesheets, fuel and logs, and other associated task.

Minimum Qualifications

Twelve months of experience in building maintenance or grounds keeping, or performing semi-skilled/general carpentry, electrical and/or plumbing repair work;

Or

Six months cumulative experience as a park aide or equivalent, or six months experience in a special employment program (WCC) with a parks agency.

A combination of experience (Washington Conservation Corps and park aide) may be used provided at least three months experience is as a park aide or equivalent.

And

A valid driver's license.
