The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission is moving its headquarters out of Tumwater to collocate with the Department of Ecology at its building in Lacey.

Customers who prefer to visit the agency’s Information Center in person can visit the new location — 300 Desmond Dr. SE, Lacey, WA, 98503 — beginning June 2.

The Information Center is expected to remain operational at 1111 SW Israel Rd, Tumwater until May 30. Staff will also continue to be available during business hours by email at Information.Center@parks.wa.gov and by phone at 360-902-8844. Discover Passes can also be purchased in-person at many local state parks and at licensed vendors, or online at www.discoverpass.wa.gov.

The new location will have signage to the building entrance easing the way for first-time visitors. There will also be signage at the Tumwater building letting customers know State Parks has moved.

The free visitor parking lot is about 100 yards away from the building entrance. The paths are wheelchair accessible.

State Parks' Information Center looks forward to welcoming customers by appointment and walk-in at its new location, where they can help with everything from Discover Pass sales to discount pass applications, to trip planning and recommendations.
