State Parks offers summer-long Folk and Traditional Arts concerts series

Free performances celebrate diverse cultures

OLYMPIA – June 7, 2022 – The Washington State Parks' Folk and Traditional Arts Program will reprise two of its beloved concert series this summer at Deception Pass and Cape Disappointment state parks. The program also added a third series at Lake Wenatchee State Park, expanding free access to diverse musical traditions in Central Washington.

Performance schedules are as follows:


Location: Cape Disappointment State Park

Time: All concerts are 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Enjoy performances from a wide variety of musical backgrounds and styles at Waikiki Beach in Cape Disappointment State Park.


Location: Lake Wenatchee State Park

Time: All concerts are 8 p.m. – 9 p.m.

A brand-new series featuring performances by Washington-based musicians and dancers against the backdrop of majestic mountain lake views at Lake Wenatchee State Park.


Location: Deception Pass State Park, North Beach Amphitheater

Time: All concerts are 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.

In its 16th year, this popular summer concert series at Deception Pass State Park is a celebration of America's wide variety of musical traditions.

All performances are free. A Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to parks. All event information can be found on the Folk & Traditional Arts Program website. The Folk and Traditional Arts Program also presents a full lineup of cultural festivals including the Skandia Midsommarfest.
