Park gate will be closed every evening (but not locked) at dusk and will reopen by 8 am. Only registered campers are allowed in the park after closing time.

Twin Harbors State Park offers a quintessential coastal getaway. Explore trails winding through grassy sand dunes down to the driftwood-strewn beach. Enjoy the sun, sand and fresh ocean air while strolling along the shore flying a kite, looking for sand dollars, playing with your pets or building sandcastles with family and friends.

Vehicles are no longer allowed on the Shafer Road beach access due to deteriorating beach conditions.

Camping
This park has hiker/biker, standard and full-hookup sites, bathrooms and showers are available. Hookup sites are small and close together; maximum site length is 35 feet with limited availability. Larger RV units may have difficulty.

Group camping
The group camp features a large charcoal burning barbecue, picnic tables and a large campfire circle. Electrical power is not available; the area does not have lighting at night. Parking limit is 15 vehicles; ten vehicles are included in the group camping fee. Additional vehicles will have a $10 per night extra vehicle fee per vehicle.

Beach exploration
Beachgoers will find a peaceful retreat along the Shifting Sands Trail, which leads from the campground to the shore. Miles of sandy beach and rolling surf invite you to fly kites, surf, fish, dig clams in season, or simply relax and enjoy the ocean air and sunshine.
Welcome Center and park store
The Welcome Center is open May 15 – Sept. 15. The park store offers firewood, ice, snacks, ice cream bars and some camping supplies during office hours.
