The Department of Natural Resources has issued a statewide burn ban restricting the use of outdoor burning, campfires, the use of charcoal briquettes, and prescribed burns on all forest lands within DNR’s fire protection, including all Washington State Parks, through Sept. 30, 2024. Check-in time is 4 p.m. Check-out time is 11 a.m.
Available only in summer, the lookout is a wooden-frame structure, 14-by-14-feet in size, with wrap-around windows and deck. The lookout is furnished with two single beds with two additional mattresses, a table with three chairs, a propane camp stove (propane provided), night lights, emergency lantern and dishwashing tubs. Drinking water is provided.
Outside is a picnic table, fire pit with grate and vault toilet.
The lookout can accommodate up to four guests. There is no electricity in the lookout. Two night minimum stay is required.
Bed linens are not provided, please bring your own. No pets are allowed in the lookout. Smoking is not allowed inside.
This is hike-in or bike-in only. The trail to the lookout is 2.7 miles. Parking is located at the Selkirk Lodge. See a map of the Quartz Mountain Fire Lookout.
