Water activities
Doug's Beach offers excellent conditions for windsurfers but be prepared for expert level conditions due to high winds and choppy sometimes white-capped waters. More water sport access may be found at the nearby Spring Creek Hatchery State Park.
Freshwater fishing may be done from the shore or boat. The river often yields small mouth bass in season. Be sure to obtain the appropriate fishing license. Swimming opportunities are excellent when the wind is not blowing.”
Picnic and day use
Doug’s beach has an ample number of picnic tables near the river.
