The weather is cooler, but wildfire season is not over. Conditions remain dry in many areas and can change quickly. All parks are under a Level 2 or Level 3 Burn Ban. Check park alerts and burn restrictions before lighting any fires.

Don’t Trash our Treasures is a service program where Girl Scouts, ages 8 and older, will pick up micro-trash and learn about its environmental impacts. Micro-trash is litter we can easily miss, because it’s so small. We may walk by a foil wrapper or pieces of glitter without noticing their presence. But these small items of litter have an outsized impact on our environment. They can pollute waterways, harm wildlife, and mar the natural beauty of our parks. Join us and learn how small actions, like picking up litter, can make a big difference.
