Seaquest State Park First Day Hike- Forest Ranger Ramble

Event Date
-
Join park staff for a late morning forest mindfulness exploration. We’ll meet at the Kitchen shelter by a warm crackling fire to chat about the wildlife that call this park home. Ranger staff will bring along skins and skulls to learn from, and commemorative buttons and warm refreshments and treats will be provided. We’ll wander for 2-miles through the forest, stopping to get acquainted with the wild world around us. If you were a bird, where would you perch? If you were a leaf, how would the rain feel? We’ll have a mindfulness scavenger hunt available for families to complete along the way as well as other activities throughout the event. Trail is relatively flat and narrow, with mud, tree-roots and stairs.
