Museum Day at Fort Worden's Commanding Officer's Quarters
Museum Day was established by the Washington Museum Association and the Washington State Historical Society. It is celebrated at museums across the state in an effort to engage communities in history, arts, and cultural experiences.
The Commanding Officer's Quarters Museum is a staged house museum that reflects what life was like for officer's and their families during the early 1900s. We have scavenger hunts for kids and adults, a selfie station on the third floor, and games from the early 20th century.
The museum is always free for all! Discover Passes are required to park vehicles in State Parks; however, passes are available to check out via the library system, and it is free to enter the park via public transportation, walking, or biking.
*Note: Due to the historic nature of the home, it is not accessible by wheelchair. There are stairs to enter the home and two flights of stairs inside the home.
