Join Deception Pass State Park to celebrate Earth Day with a planting event at our Pass Lake restoration site.

Our Earth Day celebration this year will be hosted by popular fly-fishing and recreation site, Pass Lake. The fields around Pass Lake have historically been harvested as hay, until the introduction of toxic weeds. Now, Deception Pass State Park has begun the process of restoring it to its original state as a conifer forest, and we'd love your help.

We have some tools and work gloves available, you are encouraged to bring your own if available. Additional items to bring include a water bottle, layers and sunscreen. Please wear closed-toe shoes or boots if available, as the restoration site is uneven, partially wetland terrain. Lunch will be provided following the event, from 12-1 PM.

Registration is required for this event.
