Edwardian Elegance: A Stroll Through Time at Fort Worden

-
Join us at Fort Worden for an afternoon celebrating the transition from the Victorian to the Edwardian era, complete with period attire, a stroll around the parade grounds, and family fun activities.

Join us on Sunday, May 4th for a delightful stroll in the park along the parade grounds of Fort Worden! Dress in your afternoon best to celebrate the turn of the 20th century. Explore the Commanding Officer's Quarters and learn about the innovations and cultural changes that marked the transition from the Victorian era to the Edwardian era.

Enjoy a picnic on the porch of the COQ museum, play a game of chess or checkers, and try your hand at croquet on the lawn. Inside the museum, there will be scavenger hunts for all ages and coloring pages for children.

The museum will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and snacks will be served until they run out. Entry to the museum is free, though donations are greatly appreciated. Discover passes, which are needed for parking at Fort Worden State Park, are available at the Park Office located across the parade grounds.

Please note that the house has several exterior steps to access the porch and two flights of stairs inside. If you have any questions regarding accessibility or the event, feel free to contact park staff at 360-344-4426 for assistance. For more information, please refer to Washington State Parks' ADA notice.

*This event takes place during Port Townsend's annual Victorian Heritage Festival.
