Sundaes Outside: A Celebration of Black Folks

Annual or One Day Discover Pass is required for vehicle access. Discover Passes are available online and at park entrance. 

Join us for our second year at Bridle Trails State park with our signature series celebrating creativity, the outdoors, and Black Folks! at Bridle Trails State Park on June 22, 2025, 1 - 5 p.m.

What is Sundaes Outside series?

Sundaes Outside: A Celebration of Black Folks is an event series celebrating nature, the Black community, and their various skills, artistry, talents, cuisines, cultural practices, and influences. Sunday family gatherings have been a staple in the Black community- from church to family dinners, and so much more. Sundaes Outside Series uses this day of relaxation and celebration to uplift Black contributions outdoors.

Who is Sundaes Outside for?

Sundaes Outside is for you if you:

- Are a Black person that wants to build community with other Black people and allies.

- Are a non-black person that respects, supports, and wants to build community with Black people and other allies.

- Want to celebrate the contributions of Black people.

What can you expect at Sundaes Outside?

Expect a celebration! Get to know local Black businesses and organizations, while enjoying the breadth of creativity from our highlighted guests and ice cream social with the Golden Bricks Events team.

The Buffalo Soldiers Are Back!
Join us for a special appearance by The Buffalo Soldiers of Seattle, honoring Black history and horsemanship. They’ll be offering complimentary horse rides and sharing stories that celebrate legacy, resilience, and joy in the outdoors.
