The Parks headquarters Information Center is moving from its current location in Tumwater to the Department of Ecology building at 300 Desmond Drive SE in Lacey. Our customer service team is located at the front desk, just inside the main entrance.

Come and join us to celebrate the annual Salish Sea Day with the Samish and Swinomish tribes at Bowman Bay in Deception Pass State Park. We will have tribal canoe culture, canoe journey, weaving, salmon and other food preparation to share with you all.

Bird Walk - Deception Pass
Spend your Saturday morning exploring Deception Pass State Park and discover some of the common, and not so common, species of birds that call the park home. The walks are an hour long and are a great opportunity for birders of all levels. Practice bird identification skills, explore unique bird habitats, and learn from other birders.

Junior Ranger Program - Deception Pass
Join staff in fun, family friendly explorations of Deception Pass State Park’s amazing wildlife and unique collection of forest and marine habitats. Programs last 30 minutes and are designed for ages 4 to 12, though all are welcome. Children attending Junior Ranger Programs must be accompanied by an adult.
