Join us to enjoy the Dunton Sisters who have family roots deep in traditional music in the American Roots Concert Series at Deception Pass State Park.

The Dunton Sisters have family roots deep in traditional music. Their grandfather performed in a gospel quartet sponsored by Stamps-Baxter, famous publishers of shape-note hymns. When he moved to Washington State, he brought his music with him. The Dunton Sisters are Jen on vocals and guitar, Bev on vocals and mandolin, Jill on vocals and guitar, Jackie on drums, Mother Gae on bass, and Rick (Jill's husband) on vocals, guitars and keyboards.

Guided Hike: Post-glacial Wildflowers - Deception Pass

Did you know Deception Pass was once covered in a massive glacier? Join staff for a hike to the summit of Goose Rock to explore how glaciers have shaped our park and the unique wildflowers that grow in this post-glacial ecosystem. This hike is a roughly 1-mile out and back with 380ft elevation gain. Surfaces include stairways and dirt trail. The hike is expected to take 1.5 hours with a 20-minute return hike back to the parking lot. This hike is not stroller accessible or ADA.
