Earth Day Stewardship Event - Deception Pass
Celebrate Earth Day with a full day of festivities including guided walks, Earth Day activities, and a conservation work party at Deception Pass State Park. Join for the morning, afternoon, or the whole day!
10:00-12:00 PM - Earth Day Activities
Coffee and snacks will be provided. Bird walk and dune walk will begin at 10:15am. As walks complete there will be three self-guided stations: birding with spotting scopes, a microplastics demonstration, and a gray whale station with a 9.5 ft skull.
12:00-12:30 PM - Lunch
Provided lunch will include light sandwiches, snacks and drinks.
12:30-3:30 PM
Join staff to hand pull non-native dune grass. Please bring sturdy shoes and work gloves. All other tools will be provided.

Ranger Hour - Sensational Superheroes of the Sea
Washington State Parks is returning to the Oak Harbor Library for the third year for a fun program series called Ranger Hour!Join staff from Deception Pass State Park once a month to learn about parks, wildlife, native plants, and more! Play games, be creative, and discover the natural world in our own community. All ages welcome. Adult caretakers must be present for the duration of the entire program. Programs are scheduled for 60 minutes.
